Organisations need to routinely refresh their brands and the World Confederation for Physical Therapists (WCPT) has just launched a major update to theirs. Formed in 1951 with eleven member nations, WCPT felt that with the majority of their current 121 member organisations using the term ‘physiotherapy’ it would be more representative to change their name to World Physiotherapy.

Emma Stokes, World Physiotherapy president, said: “This is an opportunity for us to clearly explain who we are and how we support the global physiotherapy profession. The new brand is fresh, vibrant, sharp, and concise”.

“We’ve been through a lot of change and progress in the past five years and the launch of the new brand and website is the next step”.

As a part of the brand refresh World Physiotherapy have a new website located at the perfectly-matched www.world.physio.

Emma said, “The website showcases our member organisations and highlights areas of our work in different parts of the world. We’ve added new sections focusing on our advocacy and project work, reorganised our resources to make it easier for people to find policy, guidelines, and information, and refreshed the content about World PT Day.”

Managing Director of Dot Physio Pty Ltd, Glenn Ruscoe, said, “We are absolutely delighted with World Physiotherapy’s decision to use the domain www.world.physio. The exact match nature of the domain means that it can also serve as a stand-alone device that tells people who World Physiotherapy is and what they do long before they get to the website”.
